Lockyer Valley audiences can anticipate an award-winning showcase of regional Queensland talent as ‘Paint the Town’ debuted at the Lockyer Valley Art Gallery on March 1.

Running until May 12, Paint the Town is the touring exhibition of the 2021 Queensland Regional Arts Awards and highlights the creations of 28 skilled emerging and established artists from various regions across Queensland.

Evoking the spirit of all things jubilant, exhibition artists have responded to the question – How do you celebrate? Is it a serene or riotous party, a big bash, a festival, or a simple elegant affair?

Does it display explosions of joy or quiet moments of reflection and gratitude, ceremony, tradition or ritual, a sense of occasion or ‘just because’?
