The beloved Glamorgan Vale Easter Carnival returned on Saturday, 16 March, offering a delightful evening for families to get immersed in the Easter festivities.

The free-ticketed event takes place two weeks before Easter annually, with Saturday night featuring kids’ rides, live music, BBQ, face paintings, a ham wheel raffle, and a multi-prize drawing.

On the night, 32 multi-draw raffle prizes were up for grabs, and 25 hams were handed out during the ham wheel raffle.

The large crowd was treated to music from acclaimed Toowoomba artist Kev Smith, who played a repertoire of rock, pop, and country music from Australian and overseas artists.

Glamorgan Vale Community Hall Gail Wendt said the event has been running for close to 20 years in Glamorgan Vale and is very popular among locals.

“It’s been a good crowd this year, kids love it, it’s from 5pm, so it’s at a good time,” she said.

“Everyone looks forward to it, there’s always someone ringing up to ask are we having it this year.”
