COUNCIL MEETING CORRECTION

Due to delays in the Local Government Election results being finalised, the first meeting of the new council will no longer be held on Thursday 28 March.

The new date and time will be published on council’s website and social media once it is confirmed.

Council apologises for any inconvenience caused by the change.

WOODLANDS ROAD ROADWORKS

Lockyer Valley Regional Council has identified a portion of Woodlands Road that requires extensive rehabilitation works, which will result in delays to road users under traffic control.

These works aim to improve the safety and reliability of this intersection by improving the rideability, sight distances, road surface drains, intersection layout, pavement condition and aim to mitigate the causes of previous crash incidents, while also widening the road.

Works are now underway and will require one lane to be closed for the majority of the project, which is expected to be completed in August, weather permitting.

EASTER FUN AT LOCKYER VALLEY LIBRARIES

Lockyer Valley Libraries will host a fun-filled range of activities these Easter school holidays.

The libraries team will once again present a packed schedule to entertain children throughout the break.

ROADWORKS ACROSS THE REGION

Council is aware the pace of road restoration works can be frustrating at times, but have assured crews are working as quickly as possible while also adhering to funding requirements and other required procedures.

Council recognise it’s confusing to know which level of government is responsible for fixing which road.

Council has a list of council-maintained and state government roads on their website: www.lockyervalley.qld.gov.au
