Step back in time and dance the night away at dance on Friday 23 March.

Glenore Grove Hall will host the dance from 7:30pm until 11:30pm.

Glenore Grove Hall committee president George Frampton said the old time dance was back by popular demand.

“The old time dances have been requested by those people who no longer come to the dances because there’s too many new dances that they can’t do,” he said.

“They wish to have a night when they can do the old time dances they used to do in their teenage years.”

The likes of the Gypsy Tap, Evening Three Step, The Pride of Erin, and The Log Cabin, will be led by musicians Ian and Lynn.

“We’ve got live music, we’ve got a multi draw raffle, and we have an excellent sit down supper,” Mr Frampton said.

“Ian and Lynn will be supplying the music again this dance, the same as they have done for the last two dances, and their tunes are very very popular.”

If you need to dust off your dancing shoes, there will be a practice session beforehand.

“We’ll have a practice session or beginners session at 6:15 until 7:15,” Mr Frampton said.

“If someone wants to come along and join from quarter past six they are more than welcome to do so if they want to revise a dance that they’d like to do during the night.”

Entry is $12.50 and includes supper.
